Construction

Construction projects that meter the build and hand over a building with evidence.

During the build, temporary power, generators and site water are metered per feed and package. At handover, a commissioned measurement layer gives the owner a baseline instead of a design promise.

How does this week compare to the last few weeks?
12% below last week, driven by lower HVAC load on weekday afternoons. Two days had low meter coverage.

Problems by outcome

What construction teams are up against.

Water, energy, air and operations carry equal weight. Each one runs the same loop: monitor, measure, identify, act, verify.

01

Water: Site water

Dust suppression, concrete and welfare on one standpipe

02

Energy: Diesel generators

Sets idling through nights and weekends at low load

03

Air: Boundary dust

Breaches found by complaint, not by the record

04

Operations: Handover

Meters commissioned late, so operation starts with no baseline

Water

Dust suppression, concrete and welfare on one standpipe

A live water balance across meters and sub-meters localizes the loss, routes the fix and confirms it closed at the meter.

Loss found from the balance, not the bill, and every fix verified.

Energy

Sets idling through nights and weekends at low load

Weather-normalized baselines per building and asset show the waste in money; schedules and setpoints adjust where control is enabled.

Savings stated in money and confirmed at the meter, not estimated.

Air

Breaches found by complaint, not by the record

Air quality per zone, overlaid with occupancy, with ventilation raised when it matters and verified back in range.

Targets held during occupied hours, with the energy cost counted.

Operations

Meters commissioned late, so operation starts with no baseline

Faults diagnosed in plain language and routed into your CMMS with the fix; early signs of failure schedule maintenance first.

Fewer reactive call-outs and closures confirmed by the equipment.

One incident, start to finish

One incident, from first signal to verified fix.

Monitor

Temporary supplies, generators and site water metered per feed.

Measure

A baseline per package and period.

Identify

Generator 3 idling through the weekend.

Act

Alert to the site manager with a smaller set option.

Verify

Weekend running stopped. Fuel saving booked to the package.

Replace or integrate

Who it is for

The questions each seat asks first.

Project director
“Can we report site energy, water and carbon per project, not per company?”
Developer or owner
“Will the building hold the rating it was sold on once it is occupied?”
MEP lead
“Does specifying this constrain the BMS or controls procurement?”

Questions

Common questions

Yes. Clip-on CT sensors, pulse counters and gateways go in without cutting into permanent systems, come out at demobilization and are redeployed on the next site, so the same monitoring kit serves project after project.

The building owner. Access for the contractor and the design team continues as agreed in the contract, so commissioning and defects-period data stay available to the people who need them after handover.

The first months of operation set the baseline an owner is judged against. Metering from commissioning onward shows whether systems run as designed, and the same data carries into operation when Aqueduct is built in from the start.
