For sustainability and ESG leads

For sustainability and ESG leads: disclosure figures you can defend

Sustainability leads are measured on targets met and disclosures that survive assurance. Aqueduct supplies metered, weather-normalized water, energy and carbon data per site, with coverage shown, so the numbers you file come from meters rather than invoices.

A target is only credible if the baseline is.

What you are measured on

The numbers your role answers for

  • Progress against targets

Energy, water and emissions reduction, normalized for weather.

  • Data quality under assurance

How much of each figure is measured rather than estimated.

  • Regulatory exposure

Emissions against local limits and water use in stressed regions.

Questions

Common questions

No. Aqueduct covers measured site energy and water, which feed Scope 1 and 2 and water disclosures. Electricity converts to CO2e with a recorded grid factor per site. See GHG Protocol Scope 1 and 2.

Yes. Each Aqueduct figure traces to a meter and period, with connectivity shown so gaps are visible to the assurer rather than hidden in a total. That makes estimated and measured shares easy to separate. See measurement and verification.

CSRD and ESRS, CDP, GRESB, ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager and local building performance laws such as NYC Local Law 97. Aqueduct exports the measured figures by reporting period; your team files. See ESG and sustainability reporting.

Aqueduct meters withdrawal, consumption, discharge and reuse per site, so sites in water-stressed areas can be reported separately, as revised ESRS E3 asks. Treated water from STP and RO plants is measured too. See water reuse, STP and RO.
