aQ WaterGuard

See where every gallon goes, and where it leaks.

Sub-meters on each floor, line and plant, closed into a live water balance. Whatever the meters cannot account for is your loss, located to a line and an hour.

Why it matters

Water is a bigger, costlier and more regulated line than most sites track.

17%

of US public-supply water goes to commercial and institutional buildings, the second largest user.

US EPA WaterSense
6%+

of a facility's water use is lost to leaks on average. Above 10% unaccounted, EPA tells you to go looking.

US EPA WaterSense
$16,000

a year: what one hose left running overnight at 10 gpm costs, in EPA's own leak table.

What it sees

One equation per site: supply equals metered use plus loss.

The balance is EPA's own leak test, run every hour instead of once a year. When the unaccounted share rises, the twin shows which line, which floor and which hour it started, so the fix is a work order, not a search.

A live schematic of your water system, built block by block.

Tanks with live levels, hot and cold headers, every floor, the RO unit and the STP. Updated every 60 seconds and matched to what is actually installed at the site.

Performance

Results on day one, not after a year of monitoring.

Upload six to twelve months of utility bills and Aqueduct builds an expected baseline from your history and cooling and heating degree days. Below baseline is saving. Above is waste.

What changes

From the monthly bill to the hourly line.

BeforeWith aQ WaterGuard

One meter at the inlet and a bill a month later

Every floor, line, RO plant and STP metered, on one live schematic

Leaks found when someone hears them

Loss located from the balance, by line and by hour

Year-one baselines before anything is proven

Expected use built from past bills and weather, so savings show from day one

Disclosure figures estimated from invoices

Withdrawal, consumption, discharge and reuse as metered records

What becomes possible

Once every gallon has a line and an hour.

01

Set a loss target and hold it

Track unaccounted water as a share of supply per site, and treat anything above your threshold as an open work order.

02

Price water inside the business

Charge each tenant, department or production line for what it uses. Only 426 of 8,500+ companies disclosing to CDP do this today.

CDP, 2025
03

Report reuse from meters

Recycled water from STP and RO meters is the line ESRS E3 and Singapore's PUB rules ask for, and estimates cannot supply it.

04

Compare sites fairly

Rank sites by water per square foot, per visitor or per unit produced, against their own seasonal baseline.

Proof

Found from the balance, not the bill.

Questions

Common questions

aQ WaterGuard finds a leak from the water balance: main supply minus every metered floor, fire line and RO feed leaves the unaccounted term. An alert names the line and the hour that unaccounted flow began, so a plumber checks one riser instead of walking the whole building. See how leak detection works.

Usually a few. aQ WaterGuard starts with the smart meters and BMS points a site already has, then a survey marks the lines that need sub-meters before the balance can close. Any meter that sends telemetry can join, and older meters with a pulse output can be read through a pulse counter.

Meter the largest and least visible uses first: cooling tower makeup, kitchens, irrigation and process lines. EPA WaterSense names kitchens as a major share in hospitals, offices, schools and hotels, and hospitals add lab and medical equipment. Each new sub-meter shrinks the unaccounted term in the water balance.

A top 25 US airport went live on Aqueduct in two weeks with 5,000 meter points. Meters and gateways go in through installation partners, and each device is commissioned to its site, floor and zone as it is fitted. Read the airport case study.

Yes. aQ WaterGuard reads inlet, treated flow and efficiency for the sewage treatment plant, and feed, permeate, reject and recovery for the RO unit. Reuse volumes then come from meters rather than estimates, which is what most water disclosures ask for. See water reuse, STP and RO.
