For building, MEP and controls engineers

For building, MEP and controls engineers: live twins and control you can audit

Engineers are measured on whether systems run to design: setpoints held, sequences stable, plant efficient. Aqueduct gives a live digital twin of the electrical single line and of each rooftop unit, fault findings per component, and control over BACnet and Modbus with every command on record.

What you are measured on

The numbers your systems answer for

  • Setpoint attainment

Share of time each unit reaches what it is asked to do.

  • Sequence exceptions

How often sequences fight each other or break.

  • Plant efficiency and power quality

Load, power factor and loading against rated capacity per feeder.

The decisions you own

Engineering calls the data supports

Retune or repair

Tell a sequence problem from a failed component using per-component state.

Which strategy to enable

Pick supply air reset, static reset or demand-controlled ventilation per unit, with its guardrails.

Where to correct power factor

Find feeders with poor power factor or high loading on the single line.

What to meter next

Close gaps where the twin shows no data or an unexplained balance.

Questions

Common questions

Two ways: LoRaWAN relay switches for simple loads, and a field device network controller speaking BACnet or Modbus for AHUs, RTUs, chillers and VAV boxes. Field devices push telemetry back, so control also enriches the data. See controllers and actuators.

Lockouts block a new command while an earlier one is still being acted on, which prevents short cycling. Commands run only on units the owner has approved, and each one is logged with whether it executed. See trust and security.

Yes. A control cluster groups devices and sensors, such as an RTU and its zone sensor, so they are operated and analyzed as one system. A pressure reading from a linked sensor can then trigger the unit's filter alert. See AI optimization.

Setpoint attainment, comfort compliance and sequence exceptions, each banded good, watch or attention, plus communication health. Engineers see at a glance which units are not running to design. See digital twins.
